Strength has always been something of value to me. Strength of the body was always a given, it wasn’t until last year that I really was able to develop strength of the mind. I have such an appreciation for a strong mind. It has surely improved my life—in every aspect there is. The Whole30 definitely challenges and strengthens the mind. I LOVE tea. I have it at least 1-2 times a day. There are so many kinds and amazing flavors to try. When I discovered Buddha Teas, my tea-loving heart rejoiced! Because there are so many types and brands of teas available, I like to make my tea time special. Buddha Tea does just that for me!
I have not felt myself lately. I have felt bogged down, stressed out, and really anxious. I often seem to spread myself too thin, trying to accomplish many tasks in a small amount of time in order to feel successful and make sure I do not let others down. During one of my recent chaotic clouds though, I made myself pause for a moment to ask, “Aren’t I on summer break?” One of my biggest fears in life is not having enough time, but if I am trying to cram too many experiences in a brief period of time, won’t I miss something? Despite the fact that summer usually means sleeping in late for most college students, I cannot bear the notion. Why waste the most beautiful part of the day? The promise of a fresh start every morning with the whole day ahead of you. I think my body knows this and that is why I cannot sleep in past 9 am–and that is still pretty late for me. I average around 7:30 am unless I set an alarm to go for a run. In Houston, the day heats up pretty quickly, and if I have not hit the pavement before the sun makes its appearance, I am in trouble.
